Meet the people behind Allied Salvage, a family-owned business.
President
Arthur is the grandson of Isador and son of George. He has been the President since 1985, but was involved in the business as early as 1965 in his teenage years. He has seen the company grow to new heights, and continues to help Allied Salvage be a leader in scrap recycling.
Director of Operations
Son to Arthur, Ian joined Allied in 2003, after living in Whistler for five years. He has an education in Heavy Duty Mechanics and has a hands-on approach is his role as Director of Operations. His aptitude for machinery and his passion for his work has allowed him to be an integral part in the growth of Allied Salvage.
Grandpa
Although George is no longer involved in the daily operations of the company, he continues to come to the yard regularly to check in. He is deeply connected to the company and has a vested interest in making sure it’s running smoothly. You will find him checking in with the guys or walking around to see what's happening in the yard.
Operations Manager
Stu Mcnair is our yard operations manager. He has over 8 years’ experience in the scrap metal recycling business and oversees all aspects of our yard’s daily operations. In the 18 years prior, his experience was in waste management and heavy truck and machinery operation. He has been with Allied Salvage since 2013 and continues to be a leader in our organization involved in all aspects of the operation. He is extremely helpful for any questions or logistics issues that come up for customers as well as staff.
